<br />
Hi everyone! <br />
I made two cards using the Cas-Ual Fridays Little Birdie stamp set. I used Zig markers to color in the birdies for both cards. I love how they blend so easily on Bristol Smooth card stock.<br />
<br />
For my first card I was in a rainbow mood. I used Bristol smooth card stock with the MFT cloud stencil and distress oxide inks. I had fun with this 😂. The little birdies are so cute. You can't see it in the pictures but the sentiments have little hearts in the O's. I added clear Nuvo drops to finish off the card. I love how they pick up each color of ink used.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For my second card, I used MFT radiating rays stencil with distress oxide inks again. I cut the card panel with MFT stitched rectangle die. To finish the card I used Nuvo drops in Teal.</div>

Hi everyone. It's April 1st and that means the start of a new LTSCB #120 Male Call. I am so excited to participate for this month because we are creating masculine cards with stamps from <a href="https://bugaboostamps.com/" target="_blank">Bugaboo Digi Stamps</a>. I don't have many masculine cards. I hear these types are cards are harder to create and I can see why. Most of my stamps are floral or frilly, LOL. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
YOU COULD WIN DIGI STAMPS!!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Look at this adorable little guy!! Let's get into how I made this card. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I colored him with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers on some Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock. This is the best card stock to use with Zig Markers. Because they are water based brush markers they blend very easily.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I tried to do a fade out in the letters for DAD. The patterned paper is from Scrapping for Less. I love the metal arrow for embellishment.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My second card I used Zig Markers again. This is my favorite medium to use for coloring. I used a Lawn Fawn stitched circle die to cut out the image. I love the patterned paper from Scrapping for Less. I added some sequins and little stars to finish it off. Not too much because it is supposed to be a masculine card. But I still think it looks cute. </div>

<span style="font-kerning: none; font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"> My first project is a set of cards using Scribble Florals stamp set from Fred She Said Designs. Aren't these just precious?! I used a stitched wonky frame die for the card panel. Then, I die cut some fun patterned papers into frames around the images to create a window effect. Finally, I added some simple sentiments and Nuvo drops for some flair.</span><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"> Hi all. Welcome to the March Challenge on the <a href="https://lovetoscrapchallengeblog.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Love to Scrap Challenge Blog</a>. This month's challenge is Anything Goes sponsored by </span><span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://www.drsdesigns.com/">DRS Designs</a>. </span></div>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"> This month I used this stamp from DRS Designs called </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><a href="http://www.drsdesigns.com/dogwood-branch-1092h/" target="_blank">Dogwood Branch</a>. I wanted to do an ink smoosh technique and a watercolor technique with Distress Oxide Inks. I like the control of placing the watercolor myself. The ink smooshing came out a little to abstract for my taste, LOL!! Which technique do you like best?</span></div>
<br />

<span style="text-align: start;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-align: start;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<span style="text-align: start;">I started with <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Stamp-Card-Stock-100-MINT-MT18-65701" target="_blank">SSS Mint </a></span><a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Stamp-Card-Stock-100-MINT-MT18-65701" target="_blank">Card stock</a>. I used distress ink in Cracked Pistachio to add color to the stencil. It was a little darker than the card stock which turned out nice. I then used applied a light shading of the same ink to a white card stock and cut out the <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Stamp-BLESSED-Wafer-Die-sssd111526-Create-Joy-sssd111526?currency=USD" target="_blank">SSS Blessed</a> die cut twice to make it more dimensional. I embossed a sentiment in white from the <a href="https://www.mftstamps.com/anything-but-basic-friendship" target="_blank">MFT Anything But Basic Friends Stamp Set</a>. Finally I added some clear droplets from <a href="http://www.shopprettypinkposh.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=clear+droplets&Submit=" target="_blank">Pretty Pink Posh</a>. I added my card panel to a white Neenah 110lb card base.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
For my second card, I did the same process but left the Blessed die cut white to make it pop more and added the card panel to a Neenah Desert Storm 80lb card base. I love the way this one looks. I left off a sentiment to keep the card simple and it can be customized for the recipient on the inside.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get creative in the new year. </div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Happy Monday everyone. Sorry I've been MIA from my blog. I'm still trying to get the hang of this and set a schedule for how many time to post each month.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Today's Blog post is about building your stash with Thank You stamps & cards. Thank you cards are so important to have in your stash. I always keep a few on hand to give out when I need to. A card doesn't just have to say thank you. Build up your stash with sentiment stamps that say grateful, kindness, or appreciation sentiments. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Today I'm using the limited edition <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Limited-Edition-Simon-Says-Stamp-Card-Kit-THANK-YOU-SSSTHKU-sssthku/1499" target="_blank">Thank You card kit</a> from Simon Says Stamp. The kit is still available & is a perfect addition to your stash for thank you cards.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLUB-6AiP1aR3L4gL-DoLBkvm76boL5Wzhop9gAEGB7XHG7io6dtvnC2K1Kk-KheeWlcDqrVC9drZCJBtxQWNKmpK10IJZ5C-0tpKL51xvbwqR3jd8Nfp4e1peq3cOgKmyycAAuJgCVANT/s1600/IMG_2314.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1469" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLUB-6AiP1aR3L4gL-DoLBkvm76boL5Wzhop9gAEGB7XHG7io6dtvnC2K1Kk-KheeWlcDqrVC9drZCJBtxQWNKmpK10IJZ5C-0tpKL51xvbwqR3jd8Nfp4e1peq3cOgKmyycAAuJgCVANT/s320/IMG_2314.jpg" width="293" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started by stamping the flowers and leaves onto Neenah 80lb card stock with the mini ink cubes that came with the kit, Melon, Soft Navy, and Mint Candy (along with some other inks). Then I fussy cut the images. I'm still learning with fussy cuts, so no close ups here LOL. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Using a pretty pink gingham paper from the <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Pinkfresh-Studio-SIMPLE-and-SWEET-6-x-6-Paper-Pack-pfrc400218-pfrc400218/0" target="_blank">PinkFresh Studio Sweet & Simple 6x6 paper pack</a> included in the kit, I stamped and clear embossed the large Thank You stamp directly onto the patterned paper. I love the look of using clear embossing powder over black ink. It looks so glossy with out using glossy accents.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I added the flowers and leaves to the card front and used some 3D foam tape to pop up a couple and glued some flat. Finally, I added some iridescent sequins to the middle of the flowers to finish off the card.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbszI3qyYzOJzfZnEqLshuunKCYcd6O0vKrJewYLU_csvnONf0U8oNKtRjGlkT1vjnYn_yntga09ZR_qRIilrhdYb0-RfRzvc7OXLxHcaNylH6nAXkPmneMPu7bJMu-vv0d45eUefCcs3Y/s1600/IMG_2296.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbszI3qyYzOJzfZnEqLshuunKCYcd6O0vKrJewYLU_csvnONf0U8oNKtRjGlkT1vjnYn_yntga09ZR_qRIilrhdYb0-RfRzvc7OXLxHcaNylH6nAXkPmneMPu7bJMu-vv0d45eUefCcs3Y/s320/IMG_2296.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I think it's a simple and elegant thank you card. I absolutely love this limited edition set. I'm so happy to have added this to my stash. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope I've given you some ideas to add to your stash. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below. </div>

<br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Hi everyone. Happy Monday. Today's post is about using your stash to create fun cards. I have a pretty small budget for crafting. I try to keep my purchases to my monthly budget and that means skipping out on a lot of things, especially most new releases. Sometimes I just have to be patient and wait til I have enough money saved to buy from that release. And, it KILLS me!!! ugh!</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">However, it does give me the opportunity to go into my stash and use the items that I already have. Using my stash makes me look at things in a different way. Coming up with designs, using patterned paper, and stamps & dies I already have challenges me to be more creative. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">I made these cards with the <a href="https://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/" target="_blank">Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge</a> in mind. The theme this week is Red,White and/or Blue. And, since the challenge started on 4th of July, a card with stars was so appropriate. I knew I had some patterned paper left over from previous card kits. I pulled out some star wafer dies and a couple of stamps sets.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">Let's begin.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span><span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">All of the cards have the same elements just in different patterns with different sentiments. I used some patterned paper from the May and June SSS card kit for all three cards. The blue is a pretty watercolor from Modascrap and the Red stripe is from Pink Fresh Studios. I used the<a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Stamp-WONKY-RECTANGLES-Wafer-Dies-SSSD111714-Cherished-SSSD111714?currency=USD" target="_blank"> SSS Wonky Rectangle Dies</a> to create my focal panels. Then I used <a href="https://cas-ualfridaysstamps.com/products/stars-fri-dies" target="_blank">Cas-ual Friday Star Fri-dies</a> to cut the stars in the focal panel. I did an inlay of both papers to create some contrast. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">For this card I added a sentiment from <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Clear-Stamps-MESSAGES-FOR-EVERYDAY-sss101831-Fluttering-By-sss101831?currency=USD" target="_blank">SSS Everyday Sentiments</a>. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigSsgdtW1fp2rgDLMkXYyVTmPnuOGfB4ODqikfM0JZ3Zhnpnz2PK0gs-Hh1Ve9jTPSuvLA_pkJe3HBNNbgEgxOLPe3pTtCfWinTX1awCNI9FpVqpZHhcnkjffxSF6Lnm8SMGDucFXcyuXX/s1600/IMG_2078.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1372" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigSsgdtW1fp2rgDLMkXYyVTmPnuOGfB4ODqikfM0JZ3Zhnpnz2PK0gs-Hh1Ve9jTPSuvLA_pkJe3HBNNbgEgxOLPe3pTtCfWinTX1awCNI9FpVqpZHhcnkjffxSF6Lnm8SMGDucFXcyuXX/s320/IMG_2078.jpg" width="274" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">For the second card I used the <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Clear-Stamps-BIRTHDAY-MESSAGES-SSS101391-65716?currency=USD" target="_blank">SSS Birthday Messages </a>stamp set.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfTwEB5B3h_-2bDxbuK1Sxicc3TnwfJYemXvWZos-WWokIrPFoHVJ1i9ha9MLHsdxPcs1lXoDHFHCqFgNOyu1YukGfKqbdhjFSN7iDsVPdD7Ftg7ZxeC4Wir2ukH9RzXIqQdAZWV9eSp_f/s1600/IMG_2082.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1386" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfTwEB5B3h_-2bDxbuK1Sxicc3TnwfJYemXvWZos-WWokIrPFoHVJ1i9ha9MLHsdxPcs1lXoDHFHCqFgNOyu1YukGfKqbdhjFSN7iDsVPdD7Ftg7ZxeC4Wir2ukH9RzXIqQdAZWV9eSp_f/s320/IMG_2082.jpg" width="277" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And for the third card, I used <a href="https://heroarts.com/products/dc152-thanks-stamp-amp-cut" target="_blank">Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cut</a> die. I cut it out three times and layered them to create dimension. I added another sentiment from the SSS Everyday Sentiments mentioned above. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hi Everyone! Today's post is about the June 2018 card kit from Simon Says Stamp - Fly Me Away. Again, they have knocked it out of the park with this kit! This kit sold out FAST!! There were so many goodies in this kit and they are all sold separately so you can pick and choose what you'd like. Personally, I absolutely love the huge 6x8 stamp set <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Clear-Stamps-BEAUTIFUL-FLOWERS-sss101826-sss101826?currency=USD"><b>Beautiful Flowers</b></a> and the <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/ModaScrap-FLY-AND-SCRAP-6x6-Paper-FESPP15-FESPP15MS"><b>ModaScrap Fly and Scrap 6x6 paper pack</b></a>. The images and watercolors used for the paper pack are <i><b>AH-MAZ-ING</b></i>! Just look at my first card below.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWmdNgod4sDClZCDtNcF9KnYA230h7C0Y9RL3Lv89fyPChU-Yvnto9u2j67Dqk_ITouQ8wZ_El9ejBBMSdixbxRFCsKby9gUO3X4iLuwUcKWHACfFoSg_fSZqvfse6y0VMa3NQPFAzyZxA/s1600/IMG_1952.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1512" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWmdNgod4sDClZCDtNcF9KnYA230h7C0Y9RL3Lv89fyPChU-Yvnto9u2j67Dqk_ITouQ8wZ_El9ejBBMSdixbxRFCsKby9gUO3X4iLuwUcKWHACfFoSg_fSZqvfse6y0VMa3NQPFAzyZxA/s320/IMG_1952.jpg" width="302" /></a></div>
<br />
With the paper pack all you need to do is use one of the gorgeous papers, cut to size, and wah-la, you have one beautiful background already created to add a sentiment too. Seriously though, how amazing are those flowers!!! The card base is <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Stamp-Card-Stock-100-FOG-Gray-FG27-67962?currency=USD"><b>Fog card stock</b></a>. I used <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Tonic-WHITE-BLIZZARD-Nuvo-Glitter-Drops-758N-758NT"><b>White Blizzard</b></a> Nuvo Glitter drops to finish the card.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoYyZcBc5oLtVcRFuZS-thoZbGD0ShuhHhekF1nXR2_zvHT865EIxcWDt7paE4PfJadP_H3373fHUgzZ6tp1sDBdX_NHkNdmC3IAB3tMlrqPYlTEEhmmkmGvcW0rvjiKzkRNd1-HlwM2Ym/s1600/IMG_1949.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1361" data-original-width="1600" height="272" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoYyZcBc5oLtVcRFuZS-thoZbGD0ShuhHhekF1nXR2_zvHT865EIxcWDt7paE4PfJadP_H3373fHUgzZ6tp1sDBdX_NHkNdmC3IAB3tMlrqPYlTEEhmmkmGvcW0rvjiKzkRNd1-HlwM2Ym/s320/IMG_1949.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This huge flower pattern is a STAMP!! There are so many things you can do with this stamp and GET THIS, there are three different smaller flowers on the stamp set as well. WOW-ZA!<br />
For this card I used the new <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Tonic-BLUE-BLITZ-Nuvo-Shimmer-Powder-1208n-1208n?currency=USD"><b>Tonic Shimmer Powders</b></a> for the background. I used Blue Blitz and Green Parade. I love the gold undertones in these colors. The card kit came with a thick piece of 8.5x11 <b><a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Tonic-GOLD-PEARL-Mirror-Card-Satin-Effect-Cardstock-9481E-9481E">Tonic Gold Pearl</a> </b>card stock. I used this to frame my focal panel and for my sentiment. This card would be great for a wedding. So simple and elegant.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHYjyyWhqZGqlT-MINqhZU0VXTOIKGhS7g2vufIFafV-L7fdrqHJUcau2TyG1vs7Wsrj_TF5u7mGN1Wc3y0nzs30r-QsVQC9zisQ_ASkRHfpSc7B8srB9HH0FOdLM-CTVU7wvBA79Po5ed/s1600/IMG_1954.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1585" data-original-width="1600" height="316" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHYjyyWhqZGqlT-MINqhZU0VXTOIKGhS7g2vufIFafV-L7fdrqHJUcau2TyG1vs7Wsrj_TF5u7mGN1Wc3y0nzs30r-QsVQC9zisQ_ASkRHfpSc7B8srB9HH0FOdLM-CTVU7wvBA79Po5ed/s320/IMG_1954.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This feather patterned paper is TO-DIE-4!! I love the purples and blues. The kit came with several different card stocks. I used the <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Stamp-Card-Stock-100-CORNFLOWER-Blue-CR33-CR33"><b>Cornflower Blue</b></a> for the card base to bring out the blues in the paper. I added a strip of Fog card stock with a sentiment from the <i>ah-maz-ing</i> stamp set. To finish off the card I used Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Gems for some bling.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisKLzDFEzQHkWlRsEyY5wYjd8BPzJ5gi-hXKcAZl9dSl930ilwwL1hIBidFHOUPCIFQM26MuRxox5ztjzvcEpCUec7GuvRU5DnrZzbLik2pL4K3bQAIQvwhA_NQv5idHGJyoVS3vJq_Hcg/s1600/IMG_1956.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1493" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisKLzDFEzQHkWlRsEyY5wYjd8BPzJ5gi-hXKcAZl9dSl930ilwwL1hIBidFHOUPCIFQM26MuRxox5ztjzvcEpCUec7GuvRU5DnrZzbLik2pL4K3bQAIQvwhA_NQv5idHGJyoVS3vJq_Hcg/s320/IMG_1956.jpg" width="298" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The last and final card is just stunning. The kit came with an amazing <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Tim-Holtz-Sizzix-BOTANICAL-3D-Texture-Fades-Embossing-Folder-662716-662716ths"><b>Tim Holtz Sizzix Bontanical</b></a> 3D embossing folder. It is STUNNING!! I used Fog card stock for the embossing. After cutting out a circle I added another piece of the ModaScrap paper to the inside and used a scrap piece of the same paper for the sentiment. To finish the card I added some navy sequins from SSS <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Stamp-PEACH-BEACH-Sequins-PBSP18-Sending-Sunshine-PBSP18?currency=USD"><b>Peach Beach</b></a>. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
There are so many ways to use this kit. I am still having so much fun creating and this kit is a great stash builder. The floral stamp set is a classic and can be used for any occasion. I hope you got your kit before they sold out!<br />
<br />
Cant wait to see what is coming for July.<br />
<br />
Have a great day!<br />
<br />
XOXO<br />

Hi there. Hope everyone is having a great week. It's Friday and the weekend is finally here! I thought it would never come. <br />
<br />
Today's post is about the beautiful May card kit from Simon Says Stamp called Kind Heart. It is full of so many amazing goodies. There are two stamp sets. The Everything Together stamp set is 6x8 with gorgeous lettering. The picture above shows an A2 sized card and how the largest stamp fills up the card. It's truly stunning!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOlUyRegQXaH0JZOD2uUEoZZhCobseP9y2vA45PGouvDVtK0lnLmYcc3NR9tQ5_GmEXS6zXbKjeRDy3CdnfXSrghfEUw5YPM9I__8hDSFEg_P_2FgG57HkBTYdXZt-27F4vNutMhkYf4tL/s1600/IMG_1834.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOlUyRegQXaH0JZOD2uUEoZZhCobseP9y2vA45PGouvDVtK0lnLmYcc3NR9tQ5_GmEXS6zXbKjeRDy3CdnfXSrghfEUw5YPM9I__8hDSFEg_P_2FgG57HkBTYdXZt-27F4vNutMhkYf4tL/s320/IMG_1834.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I used emboss resist technique on the card front. I added VersaMark ink and then embossed using a glitter embossing powder to give it a sparkly effect. After that, I used <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Tim-Holtz-Distress-Oxide-Ink-Pad-WILD-HONEY-Ranger-TDO56348-TDO56348?currency=USD">Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink</a> to cover most of the card front and then wiped away the ink to reveal the prettiness. I love using this technique when I want a solid background for bold lettering stamps.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIX0GSPS48K0uonoKOGUjhvrBVF3W2cBt_POjsAaUFSTxnlaFDYs30XZ1VFyquw94r7uowC__PMBpSoljtmSL7Ja2s9btLzNXUkjJyeuRLhMIHY_XuE-mmZN4k0uSjgCRDLaQjxO0o2F5d/s1600/IMG_1835.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br />
</a></div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIX0GSPS48K0uonoKOGUjhvrBVF3W2cBt_POjsAaUFSTxnlaFDYs30XZ1VFyquw94r7uowC__PMBpSoljtmSL7Ja2s9btLzNXUkjJyeuRLhMIHY_XuE-mmZN4k0uSjgCRDLaQjxO0o2F5d/s1600/IMG_1835.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1423" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIX0GSPS48K0uonoKOGUjhvrBVF3W2cBt_POjsAaUFSTxnlaFDYs30XZ1VFyquw94r7uowC__PMBpSoljtmSL7Ja2s9btLzNXUkjJyeuRLhMIHY_XuE-mmZN4k0uSjgCRDLaQjxO0o2F5d/s320/IMG_1835.jpg" width="283" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I used one of the sheets from the Pinkfresh studio paper pack that was included in the kit and cut it into strips. I added those to a <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/search?currency=USD&q=neenah+desert+storm">Neenah Desert Storm </a>card base. Then I added the wave line stamp in white pigment ink for some contrast.<br />
I love way this card came out. It looks very natural.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijYlqx379Ronk3j9r4kBNcn9HHWbSh18KFg8VP2ESPjLrfY5SBHjd2GRI7uvaE6t7T1fiWWUfIDrkmdfmTCtungukcehSgkklh6SDMrpyj015Qbufhyf_Rx8EtkX2c-V2TzuLW1d2Ogsx1/s1600/IMG_1836.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1567" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijYlqx379Ronk3j9r4kBNcn9HHWbSh18KFg8VP2ESPjLrfY5SBHjd2GRI7uvaE6t7T1fiWWUfIDrkmdfmTCtungukcehSgkklh6SDMrpyj015Qbufhyf_Rx8EtkX2c-V2TzuLW1d2Ogsx1/s320/IMG_1836.jpg" width="312" /></a> <br />
My next card is a simple one layer card but so pretty. I used another sheet of paper from the Pinkfresh studio paper pack. I love the blue background on the paper. I did a very simple die cut inlay for the stamped part using a scalloped edge die from my stash. Then I added some of the epoxy heart stickers, again, from Pinkfresh Studio. I tried to pull out some of the leafy colors from the paper. Finally I added some Pretty Pink Posh clear droplets to finish off the card. Like I said, simple but so pretty.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKnje9sM9YMyiopjgYdcHb4pqL4zN8ja9f-pApDvuYOww8aEQG6eEPLp06eeMzQo1WUsROU9IY1elfyQ57PsUXef3OASrGuoa4PRcH7l6lo6fIqsapfZVcMvVhdRfLtmZhG0dHT3MMyQBQ/s1600/IMG_1837.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKnje9sM9YMyiopjgYdcHb4pqL4zN8ja9f-pApDvuYOww8aEQG6eEPLp06eeMzQo1WUsROU9IY1elfyQ57PsUXef3OASrGuoa4PRcH7l6lo6fIqsapfZVcMvVhdRfLtmZhG0dHT3MMyQBQ/s320/IMG_1837.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpAIZwU64evFuUQlzh_GrWh8_h-HUka-IDFWAhlo8NnTyjkTvBRzvIRVBOQjrEZhtbSoaw3Z1gI9uT_FliaxM2ygU1fdmQGiUj0KCTJbVl2Ji6JbKROav1tZnEt8hq7ufb8BD9ogNUgftj/s1600/IMG_1827.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1402" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpAIZwU64evFuUQlzh_GrWh8_h-HUka-IDFWAhlo8NnTyjkTvBRzvIRVBOQjrEZhtbSoaw3Z1gI9uT_FliaxM2ygU1fdmQGiUj0KCTJbVl2Ji6JbKROav1tZnEt8hq7ufb8BD9ogNUgftj/s320/IMG_1827.jpg" width="280" /></a></div>
<br />
For my last card, I used the second stamp set included with the kit. This is a 3x4 stamp set called Take Heart. I tried my hand at water coloring for this stamp. This is definitely out of my comfort zone. But I just had to try it. I embossed the black ink so I could keep within the lines of the stamp. I cut it out using a scalloped edge dies from Sugar Pea Designs <a href="http://www.sugarpeadesigns.com/product/sugarcut-card-front-element-builder">Card Front Element Builder set</a>.<br />
The May kit comes with a beautiful word die "heart" and the shadow die. I added some shimmer with a <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Tonic-AQUA-SHIMMER-PEN-Nuvo-882n-882n">Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen</a>. LOVE that shimmer!! This card was also finished with Pretty Pink Posh clear droplets. <br />

<br />
I absolutely love this kit for this month!! So many elements to use to make such pretty cards. <br />
Unfortunately, it is sold out but the elements of the kit are sold separately if you wish to purchase.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hi there. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. It's my daughters 9th birthday during this weekend and I had a house full of giggling girls. And, it was a sleepover party. Lord help me! But, my daughter loved it and she had so much fun, so I guess that's all that counts.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This week I'm using an ink smooshing technique with an acrylic block. I seen this done so many times and it comes out so cool, thought I'd give it a try. I used a 4.25x5" acrylic block to smoosh Distress Inks (Fired Brick, Scattered Straw, Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserve), I added water on top of the ink until it beaded up and then turned it over onto distress watercolor paper. I let it sit for about 10 mins before I took the block off. Even though it wasn't dried, I used my heat tool to finish drying and set in the color. I did this twice to get a deeper color.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTW86crymbAzwswJVn4VHw5o_XQxpp9hvmAWhIMsNmAnCP4mTgVY8iniifOtOzhMvXoRl5uWyTV_3dWUth3BoCnR9b2Otomf8-MMuGVKAzZK-3qeOH224iPXj57tqI1DlDn9zqWZXT_be7/s1600/Big+Thanks2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTW86crymbAzwswJVn4VHw5o_XQxpp9hvmAWhIMsNmAnCP4mTgVY8iniifOtOzhMvXoRl5uWyTV_3dWUth3BoCnR9b2Otomf8-MMuGVKAzZK-3qeOH224iPXj57tqI1DlDn9zqWZXT_be7/s1600/Big+Thanks2.jpg" /></a></div>
I didn't get the result with yellow or green that I wanted to, so I used <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Stamp-Card-Stock-100-BRIGHT-YELLOW-BY34-BY34?currency=USD">SSS Bright Yellow</a> for a card base and<a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Stamp-Cardstock-EMERALD-GLITTER-6x6-sss302-Diecember-sss302?currency=USD"> SSS Emerald Green Glitter cardstock</a> for the shadow of the <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Stamp-BIG-THANKS-Wafer-Dies-sssd111813-Best-Days-sssd111813">Big Thanks </a>wafer die.<br />
I added a black strip for the sentiment and finished off the card with some <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Studio-Katia-CRYSTAL-RAINBOW-Confetti-SK2702-SK2702?currency=USD">Studio Katia Crystal Rainbow Confetti</a>.<br />
<br />
I love how the color has a textured look to it. And, I love the how the glitter paper pops.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5on2AlouPDGDpg3zoX9858S4Pi8HD5n82dthvq42HYiMF8NngtCwKtUiDAomu7am6svHFY4rrDmX5hlS_l40iPGxlAuMcJBnrRsrqby0TlQbuKSfLPC9Mys4URKiusUiXS5l_AjLO5ZWH/s1600/Big+Thanks1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5on2AlouPDGDpg3zoX9858S4Pi8HD5n82dthvq42HYiMF8NngtCwKtUiDAomu7am6svHFY4rrDmX5hlS_l40iPGxlAuMcJBnrRsrqby0TlQbuKSfLPC9Mys4URKiusUiXS5l_AjLO5ZWH/s1600/Big+Thanks1.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Hope you try this technique. You can use any blocks you have to create a look like this. It's so easy and creates such a unique look. <br />
<br />
Have a great weekend!!<br />

Good afternoon. I hope you're having a great week so far.<br />
<br />
I received the new <a href="http://www.simonsaysstamp.com/">Simon Says Stamp</a> April 2018 card kit Beautiful Day. This kit is AH-maz-ing!!! So much is packed into it. The large 6x8 stamp set has such beautiful butterflies and hand lettering (you can find it here <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Clear-Stamps-BEAUTIFUL-DAY-sss101824-sss101824?currency=USD">Beautiful Day Stamp Set</a>). And, the 6x6 stencil is just as perfect (find it here <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/Simon-Says-Stamp-Stencil-BUTTERFLIES-ssst121419-ssst121419/0">Simon Says Stamp Stencil Butterflies</a>)! Also, who can resist 2 of the new full size Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks included with the kit.<br />
<br />
Unfortunately, the kit is sold out. But you can purchase everything in the set separately if you wanted to pick and choose what you want. The stamp set is on reserve until April 19th.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVuBDKmEFkgmZdkNdIHdVpCwNykcREy0FNO1kJecE9uA42QnjdX0dk_WP_Cp7Fmn5tJbmA6LY7_fQf29iOTg1qlctTqUsLWES8IPFEKSDDpXuaMFXst5jjG5JdAhvaD1ZHGVkyILlgCIHV/s1600/IMG_1695.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="240" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVuBDKmEFkgmZdkNdIHdVpCwNykcREy0FNO1kJecE9uA42QnjdX0dk_WP_Cp7Fmn5tJbmA6LY7_fQf29iOTg1qlctTqUsLWES8IPFEKSDDpXuaMFXst5jjG5JdAhvaD1ZHGVkyILlgCIHV/s320/IMG_1695.jpeg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I had so much fun making these two cards with the kit. The Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow paper pad is so colorful and fun (find the paper pad here <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product/RESERVE-Lawn-Fawn-REALLY-RAINBOW-6x6-Inch-Petite-Paper-Pack-LF1655-nlf1655/0">Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow</a>). They really pop when added to any color card base. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0r56Oa6LkYTPtc7qtUFEua2mMbFmK8dyxU8-WRk5KzekirkcMUTC2PxYPM-msnWT50poCtYSUMEoFZ8Ku6R4FRQOVwraevKwCHzgVzBNJ_JDGQEYxRz_QDka6-FumRmA9HWKno9xfB_z6/s1600/IMG_1707.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="240" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0r56Oa6LkYTPtc7qtUFEua2mMbFmK8dyxU8-WRk5KzekirkcMUTC2PxYPM-msnWT50poCtYSUMEoFZ8Ku6R4FRQOVwraevKwCHzgVzBNJ_JDGQEYxRz_QDka6-FumRmA9HWKno9xfB_z6/s320/IMG_1707.jpeg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
For the first card I used a white background rainbow paper. I cut it out using a stitched rectangle die and then cut three circle to make windows. On my card base I used the new distress oxide inks that came with the kit, Squeezed Lemonade and Mermaid Lagoon. I also added Twisted Citron distress ink. Then I stamped the images in the windows. I love the sentiment "I adore you".<br />
I white heat embossed the butterflies. I popped the focal panel with some 3M tape. And now there needs to be shimmer!! I used a Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen to add some sparkle and lighten up the distress inks.<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_co-zFz8TKB0oecOlqm4LvvKP_KOkA3ltt-xzIRpReDGT6mo0jYSXTvGAbI__Y3WF355JMG2X7BuNBbXX7bbqRLZ3jGzXH6_E5jfoYdxTsLWlm1KJch7uvFw0qBx27MkOA5sY4u-dxUSS/s1600/IMG_1701.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="240" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_co-zFz8TKB0oecOlqm4LvvKP_KOkA3ltt-xzIRpReDGT6mo0jYSXTvGAbI__Y3WF355JMG2X7BuNBbXX7bbqRLZ3jGzXH6_E5jfoYdxTsLWlm1KJch7uvFw0qBx27MkOA5sY4u-dxUSS/s320/IMG_1701.jpeg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
For the second card, also my favorite, I used the Simon Says Stamp Island Blue card stock for my card base. Then added another rainbow pattern paper cut to 4 x 5.25 to give a nice border around the edges. I stamped two butterflies and a leaf stem from the stamp set and colored them with Arteza Real Brush Pens. I fussy cut the butterflies and leaf (there isn't a die set for the stamps yet). I added the "have a beautiful day" sentiment and the swoop for the flying butterfly. I added 3D foam squares under the wings of the butterflies to make them pop off the card. I absolutely love how this came out!<br />
Oh, and there has to be some sparkle. I added the Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen to some parts of the wings.<br />

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope you come back for some more inspiration and fun!Swift Creationshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14572105905343586944noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2917751725147894085.post-19839683359379636092018-04-03T22:09:00.001-04:002018-04-03T22:09:48.676-04:00Just Starting OutHi there and welcome to my blog. <br />
<br />
This is my very first post and I am super nervous. <br />
<br />
Just a little info about me. I live in sunny South Florida. I have an amazing husband and little girl who we both adore. I love to craft and create. We are all quite crafty in my family. My daughter loves to spend time with me in my craft room. She also loves to help my husband in his wood working shop.<br />
<br />
I have been crafting for several years. I started out sewing, and moved into machine embroidery. Then I moved into paper crafting and card making. My husband bought me my first Cricut machine and Cuttlebug and it took off from there. Yeah, he's pretty awesome.<br />
<br />
I started this blog as an outlet for me to share my creativity and maybe inspire others while I'm at it. I believe in sharing kindness through crafts. Cards and other handmade things always brighten people's day and I enjoy spreading that kindness. I am on instagram as <a href="https://www.instagram.com/swift_creations/">Swift_Creations</a> so come find me and check out some of my creations.<br />
<br />
I hope you'll come back to see the things I've posted. I don't have a schedule of postings. Not yet anyway. I'm sure I will come up with a schedule soon. As I said I'm new and just starting out. Let me know what you think. <br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by and hope see you again!<br />
<br />
XO,<br />
